This is sort of a follow up on the last blogpost, where I briefly leaked classified documents pertaining to the Jet Set Radio animation being worked on, not necesarry to read that post but if you want more context then it's available here.

Now to start this off, I need to clarify this is strictly volunteer work, please only join if you can support yourself financially as I can barely do that myself, I'd hate for people to put extra pressure on top of themselves if they can't afford to. I mean, I already feel guilty just asking for help! So like, please don't throw yourself into this if you don't have the resources to spare, I completely understand!

With that being said, the scope I'm trying to achieve with this animation is a bit too big for just one guy. I'm gonna need all the help I can get if I want to actually pull off this script, which by the way Shelptboi has been a huge help in getting off the ground, so thanks to him for that. How I'm gonna order this is that first: im gonna show a little of what we got so you can get an idea as to what the finished product will be like if we can get the amount of help we need, then: im gonna show off what we're looking for in terms of capabilities, the skill level ig you could call it, and lastly: i'll provide an email adress to send your stuff to.

The Vision

Firstly just to explain the circumstances, each short for the collab should be around 3 minutes, and ours is looking to be around 5/6. OBVIOUSLY asking one guy to animate a whole 6 minute animation is a bit much, I think everone can agree on that- not to get caught up in semantics though, me and raivenn8 boarded this script and I turned it into an animatic, just to see how possible itd be to do. What you see below is a short snippet from said animatic.

What I need to see

This part is pretty simple, in fact im sure if youre an animator you'd have one or both of these lying around somewhere on your hard drives. What I want to see from you guys is either one, a demo reel, or both: a demo reel and walk cycle. If you can provide just the reel thats fine, but if you have both that's perfect! The reason I want to see mainly walk cycles is because It's easier for me to gague someone's skill level from a walk cycle rather than a demo reel. But if you've only got a reel, that's cool too!

Something else I should also mention is that you need to be capable of exporting your animations as a transparent .png sequence. I'll be doing a bulk of the work in blender, so I'll need some way to import animations not made with grease pencil! That being said, having some blender knowledge is a plus.

I'll probably be making posts like these somewhat regularly as production progresses, as I'd like to try and get other artists on board too, but I feel like I'm already pushing my luck with this so we'll get there when we get there ^^"
